Per facilitare il trimmaggio ideale sul penultimo
ferzo troviamo efficaci riferimenti che indicano la giusta tensione
da dare al caricabasso in relazione all'intensità del vento.
To set the ideal trim there are, between 2 and 3 battens, three lines that indicate the correct tension of downhaul for light, medium and strong wind.

Riferimenti
analoghi li troviamo anche per la bugna. Trovare la
giusta estensione del boma, in relazione alla tensione adottata per
il caricabasso, è davvero semplicissimo con le cimette colorate
di diversa lunghezza.
With your sail correctky downhauled, adjust the boom-end with the 3 cord (use the short one for light wind, the medium one for medium wind and the long one for strong wind).

Il variotop, presente
in tutte le misure, consente di usare la vela anche con alberi non proprio
"dedicati".In caso di emergenza, in ogni sacca, vi è addirittura un variotop
supplementare che consente di allungare ulteriormente quello presente
per utilizzare, se costretti, anche alberi molto più
lunghi di quello consigliato.

L'anti
break della base d'albero è robustissimo ma nello stesso tempo,
come del resto ogni materiale utilizzato, anche leggerissimo.

La parte inferiore dell' antibreak è asportabile in modo da scegliere o meno di proteggere anche il
piede d'albero.

Il chiavino
tendistecche è opportunamente alloggiato
nella base della vela.
Dave Ezzy assicura che le stecche hanno la giusta tensione appena acquistate
e non andrebbero trimmate ulteriormente.
La parte inferiore della balumina, quella che maggiormente tocca sull'antisdrucciolo della tavola, risulta rinforzata con una fettuccia anti break per evitarne l'usura.
The tensioner key is stored at the tack of the sail. The battens have already been tuned by Ezzy in the factory and not need further tuning.

La vela
armata appare molto aggressiva con un profilo impeccabile.
Nonostante le super protezioni, la scelta accurata dei materiali conferisce alla vela un peso davvero irrisorio, basti pensare che la 4,7 provata pesa solo 3,462 kg.
The sail mounted is very aggressive with a perfect profile.
Although there are protections evrywhere, the careful selection of materials gives the sail a weight really ridiculous, just think that the sail of this test (4.7 ) weighs only kg 3,462.

LA PROVA IN ACQUA |

La Tramontana-Grecale di Termoli ed il maestrale di Torre Canne mi ha dato la possibilità
di provare la nuova Panther '09 in una giornata di wave puro. Sebbene
non siano state condizioni ideali, vento molto rafficato da mare e
onde non proprio ordinate, ho avuto modo comunque di apprezzare le doti di questa vela concepita per il wave estremo.
Pensavo alle Ezzy come a vele si robuste ma anche molto pesanti, potentissime e lunghissime di boma, adatte a rider molto
"fisici" e non certo ad un peso leggero come me (64 kg.).
Smentito in tutto immediatamente!!!
La nuova panther è una vela stabilissima, leggerissima, cortissima
di boma e sufficientemente neutra per surfare le onde senza essere
strattonato.
Sembra di avere tra le mani un ala tanto il profilo è perfetto.
In manovra è equilibratissima e molto docile; sensazioni credo
che vadano attribuite all'assenza di giro d'albero delle stecche che
non dovendo compiere la rotazione intorno all'albero lavorano molto
più gradualmente.
Anche in sovrainvelatura la vela lavora benissimo tanto che mentre molti
rider più pesanti di me armavano le 4,0 io continuavo a surfare
con la mia 4,7 dopo averla trimmata al terzo riferimento, quello da
vento forte.
In definitiva una vela eccellente, studiata per durare e per essere
utilizzata tra le onde senza timore di danneggiarla alla prima "lavatrice".
Una vela lontana dalle logiche prettamente commerciali. Per Ezzy sails ogni dettaglio è frutto di sperimentazioni continue atte a migliorarne il rendimento e la durata.

The noth-wind of Termoli (CB-Italy) and the mistral of Torre Canne (BR-Italy) gave me the chance to try the new Panther'09 in a day of pure wave. Although conditions were not ideal, much wind gust from the sea and waves not ordered, I nevertheless appreciate the skills of this sail designed for the radical wave conditions.
I thought to Ezzy sails as a robust sail but is also very heavy, powerful and the long boom, suitable to rider very "physical" and not for lightweight like me (64 kg.).
Denied all immediately!
The new panther is a very stable sail, very light, short of boom and much neutral for surfing the waves without pushed.
It seems to have in our hands a wing profile is so perfect.
In maneuvering is balanced and very friendly; feelings that I attributed to the absence of mast cocks that should not make the rotation around the mast work much more gradually.
Even in overpowered the sail works so well that while many riders heavier than I rigged the 4.0 I continued to surf with my 4.7 after I adjusted the sail for strong wind.
Ultimately an excellent sailr, designed to last for a long time and used between the waves without fear of damage to the first wipe out.
A sail away from purely commercial logic. For Ezzy sails every detail is the result of continue experiments to improve its performance and durability.
